Research Centers
What are Research Centers?
- Group of instructional materials available to the students in all subject areas for the purpose of conducting research. They serve as subject specific reference areas for bilingual pairs or for groups to use in cooperative learning project-based learning.
What materials do you need?
Materials needed, but not limited to, are: books, manipulatives, pictures, posters, digital media, activities, vocabulary, student work, encyclopedias, word cards, itouch/ipads, computers, pre-identified websites, digital microscopes...
Research centers are to be used exclusively with lessons during subject area instruction. In other words, they should be related to the lessons you are teaching.
